There are days when you just feel trapped where you are, unable to do anything.... this is not one of those days.

I returned from work today, sat on my couch, flipping channels and eating saltines, knowing I couldn't be happier at that exact moment. I retreated to my room, read a few chapters of an amazing book, and feeling good about the fact that in just two days time, I've finished over half.

I napped and I relaxed and it was nice... after a long week of bar hopping, friend visiting, and just plain self-exhaustion, this was well deserved (and well appreciated)

tomorrow, I get to see a long-term friend who has been absent several months. tomorrow, he will set foot in my new house for the first time, and be proud of me for picking up myself after SaltyEx and doing so well for myself. He will know that even though he's only 5 hours away, i have felt he was lightyears away... and he'll know how much i glow when he's here because its always good to see a long-term face after an absense. Because everyone else around matters so much more, because they are a witness to your friendly devotion...

So to revive a great saying that sums up my mood today, Fuckin' Huzzah!
